Trebbiano

Overview

Salvatore Trimboli was named after his grandfather, the family’s winemaker back in Italy many years ago. Following another fine Italian tradition, Salvatore launched this Trebbiano under his personal label. He first made Trebbiano in 1983, and aims to bring this fresh, fruity white wine back on-trend in Australia.

Colour

Light straw, with green silvery tinges.

Aroma

A light bouquet, with subtle hints of lemon and stone minerality.

Taste

A refreshingly dry and crisp light-bodied wine with citrus and mineral notes. Aging in untoasted oak delivers a very appealing fruit-driven creamy finish.

Enjoy with

Teams up beautifully with shellfish, cheese and white meats. Also a great partner with salads and lighter vegetable dishes for vegans and vegetarians.

Wine Analysis

Alcohol: 12.5% Total Acidity: 6.5g/L pH: 3.2 Residual Sugar: 3.0g/L

Oak Usage

Fermented in new and three-year-old fine-grained untoasted oak barriques for up to four months, then with new French oak staves for a further six months. This enhances creaminess and structure, without allowing oak flavours to dominate.

Region

Big Rivers Region, New South Wales. Grapes are sourced from specially selected vineyards that are only harvested for the Salvatore brand. In some vineyards, the vines are around 70 years old, and produce low yields which result in concentrated fruit flavours.

Processing

VEGAN & VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY. Trimboli Family Wines guarantees that only animal-free, natural products are used in all production and processing.
